Statistics: ‘I Love You’ Means ‘I Want Sex’

Giving flowers in the hope of sexHarlequin Romance Novels have conducted a survey of 3000 men and women in the US and Canada for their annual Romance Report.

The survey contained a section on the motivations behind romantic gestures and found that, often, saying ‘I love you’ was inspired by the hope it would lead to sex.
