OK, it’s done. This is my mini documentary about this year’s Berlin Porn Film Festival.
Most of it was shot on a Sony Cybershot HX9V – a pocket camera that takes rather good HD video but not so good sound. I actually bought it at the airport on my way to Germany.
And thank goodness I did. Our large video camera ended up being damaged, possibly dropped when in luggage storage before we got to Berlin. A lot of the footage I shot at the festival using the big camera was half out of focus and consequently useless. You’ll probably notice that the interviews with Adrianna, Aiden and Jen look rather fuzzy. They were shot with the big camera and I did my best to salvage the footage.
We noticed that something wasn’t quite right with the camera while in Germany but it didn’t seem too bad. It’s only when I got home and uploaded the files that I saw how dodgy it was. The left side of the frame is very fuzzy but the bottom right corner is in focus. It’s incredibly frustrating to have that kind of equipment failure.
I also shot a solo male scene in Berlin and some of that footage is also no good. But the Cybershot has saved the day. Lesson learned: don’t discount the new generation of little cameras. They’re actually quite good and are worth using for B roll or as a backup.
In any case, I think I managed to capture some of the vibe of the festival in this little doco. I downloaded the film excerpts from Youtube and Vimeo so some of them aren’t the best quality. I wanted to just give a small idea of the kind of amazing films we saw in Berlin.
The films:
Smoke by Claudia Romero
Black Rose Tango by Richard Kimmel
Curuk: The Pink Report by Ulrike Bohnisch
Skallamann (Bald Guy) by Maria Bock
Orchids: My Intersex Adventure by Phoebe Hart
The Female Voyeur by Petra Joy
Gang Bang Barbie by Joanna Rytel
Festival trailer by anton Z risan
A longer version of this doco will appear at For The Girls on 29th November. It features the X-rated footage I couldn’t put on Youtube plus more interviews. And images from the amazing Chatroulette session that turned into something of a live sex show.
By the way, there’s some great photos of the festival now available at the official site.

This week’s update at For The Girls features my new short video “That’s What I Like.” If you’ve been following me on Twitter you’ll know I had a big weekend shooting this movie and an eventful couple of weeks editing it. Now it’s live at FTG and I’m so pleased with it.
The official blurb for the movie is:
“That’s What I Like” portrays one woman’s individual sexual preferences, in words and in the flesh. This short 10 minute film aims to offer an intimate portrait of sensual heterosexual sex. Realistic and arousing, it also affirms the right of women to express their sexuality through the medium of film.
The movie is 10 minutes long and I love the way it looks. Filming was quite a learning experience, challenging but ultimately rewarding. Our two actors were gorgeous, very easy to work with and did a great job.
I’m looking forward to making more great porn for women videos in the future.
In the meantime, you can find this video at For The Girls. Next month we’re uploading a much longer version of their sex scene.
(Youtube video no longer works and has been removed from this post).
Tony and Peggy have finally released their sixth wonderful real sex film, Bill and Desiree: Love Is Timeless. Judging from this preview, it looks just as interesting and visually sumptuous as their previous efforts.
Right now they’re offering a discount for early orders.
Edit 4th December
Youtube have removed the Comstock preview video for violating its terms of service. The little clip, which featured a short shot of Bill and Desiree making love (but did not feature any graphic nudity or sex), is apparently too pornographic for such a family enterprise as Youtube. Naturally Tony has a lot to say on this topic.
I’ve only just finished deleting a piece of comment spam directing me to a bit of porn advertising on Youtube. It didn’t feature any nudity but it was spam nonetheless. The clip remains live. There are some astonishing examples of selective censorship on display here.

Erika Lust’s latest film The Barcelona Sex Project is a documentary-style erotic movie that aims to enlighten as well as arouse. The film features three men and three women talking about their hobbies, their work, their passions and their sex lives, after which they masturbate on camera.
I thought it was a wonderfully engaging movie, one that was both interesting and sexy. My review of the film is appearing at For The Girls on Thursday.
I was a huge fan of her first film Five Hot Stories for Her. I think Erika is one of the leading lights of women’s erotica so I’m pleased to offer this short-but-exclusive interview with filmmaker Erika Lust about the film.
How did you find your six subjects?
It was a casting amongst the most open and talkative performers and newcomers who live and work in Barcelona. We need people that was able to speak from their inside and perform a masturbation scene and do both things with passion.
Why did you decide to use both men and women?
Because I think that women want to see both how men and women masturbate. That we can find both men and women attractive, it’s all about the personality.
Did anyone have any difficulty coping with masturbating on camera?
It was a great shoot, but some of them told me that it was more difficult for them to masturbate in front of the camera than to perform sex with other person. Also because I wanted them to do it as themselves, not as “pornstars”, as true and real as possible, without thinking of the camera
Was it a difficult film to create?
It’s a very minimalist erotic documentary, and the production was also done with a very small team and just in 6 days. Besides that, My baby girl was only 8 months old and I only was able to be in the set from 9 to 5.
Do you have a favourite participant?
Maybe my favourite is Dunia, she is a very sexy, and funny Brazilian bisexual working mother, with tons of positive energy. Everyone is special in their own way and so different… That’s the great thing with the six of them, everyone can find their fave.
The film has been nominated at the Venus Berlin awards and will also be shown at the Berlin Porn Film festival. I’m excited because I’ll be in Berlin for the festival and can hopefully get together and meet Erika in person.
Here’s a few fab behind-the-scenes photos from the production.

I like this real “behind the scenes” shot complete with snazzy equipment.

Erika with Dunia, the ex-Brazilina PR exec with a thing for toys.

Sylvia, the young metal fan with a lot of tatts.
You can purchase the film directly from Erika at her official site. 5% of all purchases go to charity.
Hot Movies also has it for download.
I posted the trailer for it on the blog here.
Here’s the trailer for Erika Lust’s latest film, The Barcelona Sex Project. I’d like to review it in the near future.
You can find out more and buy the film at her site.
Erika Lust is about to release her second major film – the Barcelona Sex Project. This documentary-style film is a move away from her plot-based vignettes of Five Hot Stories For Her.
A feminist adult movie, created for women by women, the film discloses the private lives and sexuality of six individuals. The project is based on the conviction that women desire to know a person’s inner character (their beliefs, their character, their feelings, fears and passions) before becoming drawn to them on a sexually intimate level.
The film is in Spanish but it does have English subtitles. It will be available from June 15 at Erika’s site (see link above).
Erika is also doing something different with this movie – she’s donating 5% of proceeds from each DVD to The Coalition Against Trafficking in Women (CATW), Equality Now and WOMANKIND Worldwide.
I’m looking forward to seeing it.
