NOW gets behind women's pornCandida discussed her work, and the definitions of women's porn, while Waxman detailed her plans to make a series of "how to" adult videos for women. When one audience member asked how Royalle responds to those that argue all pornography is wrong, Royalle said, "It's not going to go away, so let's take it back and do it the way it should be done." The article doesn't tell us anything terribly new about porn for women, but it's nice to see the topic being given some coverage. What's even better is to see a feminist organisation getting behind women who are trying to do something positive with porn instead of mouthing the usual platitudes about exploitation and sexism. Kristen Lombardo, the president of NOW at NYU, said that "NOW wanted to help young women celebrate sexuality and our bodies by showing them porn for women by women."
