Advertisers wary of selling via adult materialThe people behind Scarlet Magazine, Britains erotic mag for women, said it can be frustrating sometimes: "It can be like banging your head against a brick wall once you mention to agencies your title is about sex." "It's irritating to see brands advertising alongside an article about anal sex or dogging in FHM or Cosmo, but if we write about it they run a mile," he says. "What is also frustrating is brands' PR agencies are constantly on the phone to us asking how they can be involved in the magazine." Apparently Scarlet did do well when giving away vibrator freebies to media agencies - 150 of them happily accepted a free lipstick vibrator last year.
