Real sex in mainstream moviesThe irksome thing about these "real sex" movies is that they are officially "arthouse" and they're all very intellectual, so that makes it OK to see explicit sex, even if what you're seeing is horrifically violent and offensive. People will protest about the right to free speech if these films are banned. Meanwhile, the non-violent explicit sex that occurs in standard porn movies is considered (by some) to be not worth defending, because the primary reason it exists is to encourage people to get off. What could be most disturbing about this is the trend toward explicit sexual violence in these films, and of people thinking that it's OK thing to view rape in an arthouse movie.
