I am disgusted by plagiarism also. I post a copyright on every article I write. I offer people the right to publish any of my original writings as long as they ask permission.

I have lots of articles that I've asked permission to copy. I've been turned down many times also. When I get turned down, I respect the authority, if it is something I truly want my reader's to see, I will just post a link to the article.

It takes a lot of time to write quality content for a website. And to have it ripped off by some lowlife just disgusts me. I'm almost afraid to do a search for some of my stuff.

They are owned by the same guy. I linked to the blogs as proof that he's done what he's done. Seems the Radical Left one has been removed. His response of "but I give you traffic" is not good enough. Thanks to his post, I've lost ranking in Google. And it just shits me that this guy is exceeding fair use principles in the extreme in order to fill his blog with posts. Grrr.

Based on the website design, it appears that both blogs are owned by the same person. I love how he is trying to defend himself in the comments. But, why give him more traffic by linking?

Thanks for your comment John. I guess I was reacting to a commenter on Debauchette's blog who wrote "Creative commons" as if that was an excuse. But I will admit, I've never really looked into the CC idea. All of my websites and writing are licenced to me.

It's always sad to see someone just lifting your content but please don't equate Creative Commons with that. CC licenses specifically have the Attribution property (BY), which would allow reposting (under certain conditions) but the incorrect byline would void any CC license.

(Also, even with Creative Commons you still own your intellectual property and can sell out to whoever you want for lots of money.)
