Ummm, What Do I Do With MySpace?
So, about six months ago I thought I’d better check out this MySpace thing. I created a Ms Naughty profile, added a pic, a quick intro and a couple of links. And then I ignored it.
The fact is, I have absolutely no idea what happens next.
I’m not really sure of the point of MySpace. I can see that it’s a way for people without HTML skills to have a webpage and a blog (have you seen some of the shocking designs?), but I don’t need that. It’s also supposed to be a way to network, but I’m… not quite sure how to do that, or even if I want to. I mean, I did get one message from some bald guy:
“hey norty loved the pix can i see more of u plz hehehehehehe”
Hmmm. Tempting. Because guys who can’t spell or use capital letters just make me sooooo hot. And some other bloke asked me what my favourite colour was. I’d never imagined that social networking would be similar to visiting a sleazy bar.
What’s worse, MySpace thinks I have no friends. Which I know is not true. Mostly.
I realise that admitting to MySpace dyslexia may make me extremely uncool, at least with the 14 year olds (hey… what are you doing reading my blog?), but I feel the need to make this confession.
So, any suggestions on what I should be doing with my MySpace site and profile?
Here’s the webpage. Boring, isn’t it?
